Chocolate Avocado Mousse

A healthier alternative to traditional mousse! Dairy, egg and refined sugar free PLUS avocados are a good source of Omega 3 fatty acids.

Chilling Time: 2 Hours

Serves: 4


Ingredients:

4 Ripe avocados

1/2 cup cacao powder

1/2 cup plant based milk (almond, soy or oat)

1/2 cup maple syrup

2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch sea salt


Toppings:

Handful of fresh raspberries

Chopped almonds


Method:

  1. Cut avocados in half and remove the pits. Scoop out the flesh and place in blender.

  2. Add the cacao powder, plant based milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract and salt to the blender and blend until smooth and creamy.

  3. Transfer the mousse into serving dishes and place in fridge to chill for 2 hours.

  4. Once chilled and set, garnish the mousse with fresh raspberries and chopped almonds.
