Our ex battery hen rehoming program is the most successful way we save lives. We work with egg farmers, collecting hens at the time when they would otherwise be culled at around two years of age. This is because they are no longer considered commercially viable, as they don’t lay an egg every day. They will however still live and lay less frequently for another few years!

We work hard to rescue as many hens as we can from being culled, rehabilitate them, and rehome them into forever loving homes. Since beginning this program we have rescued and rehomed over 950 hens!
