Queen Evie, and Queen in training, Luna formed a fast and deep friendship from the moment they met. 6 months older, Evie took the visually impaired Luna under her wing, showing her the ways of Happily Heifer After, providing comfort and companionship. 
These two often sit like this in the paddock, watching the world go by in peace and safety. 
 
Just like people, animals form meaningful bonds. 
 
They find best friends. The ones they choose to play with, spend their time with, share their food, groom, get into mischief with and show affection to.
